Microsoft Bing gets a free Sora-powered AI video generator

On Monday, Microsoft unveiled the Bing Video Creator, an addition to the Bing app that utilizes OpenAI's Sora model to let users to create films based on written instructions.

OpenAI has restricted access to Sora's video creation to paying clients exclusively, continuing their long-standing agreement with Microsoft. Because of its integration with Microsoft Bing, it will finally be available to the public at no cost.

Even in the "fast" option, the launch of Bing Video Creator without desktop support might cause the video production time to exceed an hour, even though it should only take minutes.

In the Bing app, anybody with a Microsoft account may make 10 free video clips.  After that, each movie will cost customers 100 Microsoft Rewards points.  You can get points when you shop at the Microsoft Store or use Bing. For instance, you will get 5 points for every PC search you do using Bing, and you can only earn 150 points every day.

There is currently no method to alter the video's duration, although users may queue up to three 5-second generations simultaneously.  At this time, the only available video format is 9:16 vertical, which may encourage users to post their AI-generated films on platforms like TikTok or Instagram.  However, 9:16 horizontal uploads will also be accessible shortly.
